Make Friends. Make a difference. Make it to the finish line! Over the past 5 years, P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona’s Official Charities have raised $25.7 million (net) for people in need.
With each of our Official Charity Training programs, you train with a team and receive quality coaching, travel to/from the race and accommodations over the race weekend. Most significantly, you help raise money to support your favorite cause.
Team In Training:
Saving Lives One Mile At a Time
Finishing an endurance sports event such as a marathon, half marathon, triathlon or 100-mile bike ride is one of life’s special accomplishments.
For nearly 20 years, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training ® (TNT) has been helping women and men from all fitness levels achieve their athletic dreams by offering unparalleled coaching and access to some of the best events in the world. In return, participants get the added satisfaction of raising funds to help the Society cure the blood cancers leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

The NF Marathon Team
In support of the Children's Tumor Foundation, the NF Marathon Team offers the opportunity to participate in team endurance sports, to raise money for research, promote awareness, and provide a network of caring support for those suffering with Neurofibromatosis (NF) and their families.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R) - Team Marathon
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement.
Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

Chances for Children Arizona – TEAM Chances
Chances for Children – Arizona is committed to improving quality of life by supporting partnerships and programs that provide access to sports, physical education, and character education for youth.
During the 2006 and 2007 school years, Chances for Children-Arizona provided running programs to over 1,500 students from ten elementary schools in the Phoenix area through the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Kids Rock Star program.
For the 2008 school year, Chances for Children-Arizona will continue to fight childhood obesity and support running programs for children through unique school based programs that will act in partnership with TEAM Chances.

American Cancer Society - Charity Runner
The Charity Runner Program is the American Cancer Society's signature endurance event program which gives runners and athletes alike the opportunity to participate in races while dedicating their experience to the fight against cancer.
Since its inception, the program has helped over 4,000 athletes accomplish their goal of completing a marathon, half marathon, or triathlon while raising more than $4 million to support cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services.

NACoA works with schools, doctors, clergy and others to save from psychological or physical harm the 1 in 4 children whose parents abuse alcohol or other drugs.

Team Emily
Team-Emily is a group of dedicated athletes of all levels, ranging from walkers to Elite runners. (Under the direction of Olympian, Coach and friend Jack Daniels of the High Altitude Training Center at NAU)
By raising donations in memory of Emily Marie Benson, Our mission is to make a huge difference in the lives of students with daily medical challenges, by awarding a $10,000 yearly scholarship to Northern Arizona University.

Train with the Africans as part of the Journey of Hope team and support the Lost Boys of Sudan on their journey to a better life. AZ Lost Boys Center is a nonprofit organization founded to provide education, employment, cultural and crisis support to the more than 500 Sudanese war orphans living in Phoenix.

NORMAL In Schools – Team Normal
NORMAL In Schools is a national nonprofit arts-in-education organization created to produce, develop and implement programs and curricula that teach students of all ages about the devastating impact of eating disorders and the therapeutic impact of theatre.
By bringing a curriculum centered around the musical NOR•MAL into schools everywhere, Normal In Schools seeks to advance understanding and promote healing. Monies raised by Team Normal will go to fund Normal In Schools’ current projects – a list of which can be found at www.normalinschools.org.

Ahwatukee Family YMCA – Y Marathon Club
The YMCA is a non-profit 501c3 organization that provides programs for individuals, families and children. The Strong Kids campaign is an annual fund raising effort to provide programs including childcare, wellness, sports, swimming lessons, and enrichment to children and families that need financial assistance. No person is ever denied membership for program participation by reason of inability to pay. The funds raised by the Y Marathon Club will go to support these programs.

Empowering people with disabilities since 1967, TCH’s rapid growth throughout the 40 years of its existence is most often attributed to the highly personalized and outstanding level of service provided to individuals and their families.
Known statewide as a reputable and trustworthy organization, TCH now serves more than 1,000 individuals each day at multiple facilities throughout Arizona. It is estimated that more than 50,000 men, women and children have benefited from the organizations’ thoughtful programming and extensive advocacy.

The Arizona Hemophilia Association serves individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders. The organization serves this community with a variety of services, programming, counseling, and children’s activities such as Camp Honor held each summer in Northern Arizona.

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy - Run for our Sons
Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and long-term outlook for all individuals affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) through research, advocacy, education and compassion.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the most common lethal genetic disorder diagnosed in childhood, affecting approximately 1 in every 3,500 boys. DMD is a devastating, progressive disorder that causes loss of muscle function and independence. To date, there is no cure.
