What are the dates of future races?
Future dates for P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona are Sunday, January 18th 2009; Sunday, January 17, 2010; and Sunday, January 16, 2011.
If I am not able to run the race once I register, may I request a refund of my entry fee?
Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, and you may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not defer your entry to the next year.
Is the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon a Boston Marathon qualifier?
Yes, this is a certified course and a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
What is the average temperature in the beginning of January?
History confirms that you can count on ideal running weather in Arizona during the month of January. Expect the start line temperature to hover around 40 degrees, with temperatures in the low to mid-50s three hours into the race. Temperatures should peak in the mid-60s by the afternoon.

What is the elevation of the course?
The marathon and 1/2 marathon courses are flat, fast and beautiful. Click here for a course elevation map.
How do I know that I'm registered?
All entries received prior to 11/30/08 will be confirmed by mail. Final confirmation cards will be sent out approximately one month prior to the event. You can also confirm your registration online; see our Registration Info page for directions.
Is the marathon walker-friendly?
Walkers are welcome, provided that they can complete the marathon course in 7 hours and 15 minutes (gun time) and the half marathon course in 4 hours.
Will P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona provide shuttle services?
Shuttle service will be provided from the finish line to the start line from 4:30 AM until 7:30 AM. These shuttles are for participants only. There are no post-race event-organized shuttles. Many local hotels and the official race charities will be offering alternate transportation options - please contact them directly for details.
Can the course be completed with relay teams?
There will be no marathon relay at P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon and Half Marathon.
What if I need to drop out of the race?
If you feel like you cannot finish or your doctor has advised you against participating in this event, we suggest that you do not toe the starting line. If you want to drop out of the race (for non-injury reasons), visit the nearest medical station on the course. See the Course Information page for more details.
Who is playing at the concert and where will it be held?
The evening concert will be held at Tempe Beach Park, located in downtown Tempe. The headlining is Kool & The Gang, and the Groove Merchants will open. Details...
What will I receive with my entry into the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon & Half Marathon?
All participants receive a P.F. Chang's® Rock 'n' Roll Arizona T-shirt, goodie bag and admission to the post-race concert. On-course support includes medical, water, sports drink, energy gel and blister stations, over 70 live bands, 40 local cheer squads and over 100,000 spectators along the courses. All finishers receive a P.F. Chang's® Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Finisher Medal, a Finisher's Certificate and a heck of a good time!
Do you have official Pace Teams for the Marathon & 1/2 Marathon?
Southwest Airlines and the Arizona Road Racers will provide pacers for the Marathon and 1/2 Marathon. Visit the Arizona Road Racers booth at the Expo to register as part of a group. Click here for details.
